Urgently, the roadside assistance raises $21 million

A mobile app named Urgently aims to help people stuck in situations that require car assistance. Founded by Chris Spanos, Surendra Goel and Luke Kathol, Urgently works like Uber, wherein individuals who need roadside assistance can connect with the nearest car services through the app.

What’s better is that users will be shown the charges for requested services in the app itself. Furthermore, payments can also be handled through the application. The company has now raised $21 million in a Series B round of funding from venture divisions of auto giants BMW, Porsche, and Jaguar Land Rover. Such an app has enormous potential, making it an attractive asset for corporations that own or operate large fleets. Other service providers like AAA charge annual membership fees, making them unavailable for a significant portion of car owners. Urgently has the ability to put an auto mechanic within reach of everyone, anywhere, anytime. Its business model makes it easily scalable.
